Arizona FC Rebels Soccer would like to welcome Carley Cope
A little about Carley,
Carley started off her soccer career about eighteen years ago, playing club soccer for about eleven years in the East
Valley at Arizona Arsenal on the 97’ premier girls team. During her club soccer years she made three appearances in the statecup finals, winning one state championship, and appearing in two regional tournaments. She played high school ball
at Highland High School winning a state championship in 2015.
As she progressed into college soccer she was able to earn a full ride scholarship to play at Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she was rewarded with the 2016 All-RMAC honor roll as well as the 2017 Spring Semester Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, making two semi-final RMAC tournament appearances. In 2017 Carley was asked to move back to Arizona to help start up the new Ottawa University Women’s soccer program here in Surprise, Arizona. During my time playing here she was rewarded with a scholarship as well as captainship, making it to the 2017 NCCAA National Tournament, as well as being ranked in the 15th in the country.
Coaching History:
Carley
started off her coaching career at Arizona Arsenal in 2013 as an Independent youth skills coach helping kids ages ten to sixteen improve their technical abilities. In 2017 after she made my move to Denver, CO she was employed as a Team Skills
coach at Skyline Soccer Association, then progressed into a U-11 Girls Head Coach. In 2018 she was then offered a Head
Co-Coaching position at Highland Prep High School where I am currently employed!
Something Interesting:
Carley is
currently a student at Ottawa University her in Surprise working towards her degree as a Clinical Psychologist
with an emphasis in Trauma counseling and debriefing in hopes of helping our countries first responders who suffer with PTSD. She is also an environmental and outdoors enthusiast who enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring, which goes hand-in-hand with her developing career as a profession wildlife photographer. When she's not on the soccer field or studying, you can find me playing guitar or reading a good book!
So please help us in welcoming Carley into the Rebels family!
